Itinerary

Varanasi Local Sightseeing With Evening Ganga Aarti

Pickup from the hotel at 5:30 am and proceed to ghat to enjoy the morning Boat ride at sunrise. Every morning at dawn, hundreds of worshipers can be seen bathing in the sacred waters. The great river banks are lined with an endless chain of stone steps — the ghats — that stretch from one end of the city to the other. Believing that anyone who dies in the river of life in Varanasi gains freedom from the cycle of birth and death, the site has become a haven for the sick and aged waiting out their final days. The smoke that billows from the crematoriums on the edge of the river gives testimony to their final release from life's earthly confines—your boat docks at Manikarnika (Cremation) Ghat. On any given day, anywhere from a few dozen to a few hundred corpses are cremated here; the ghat is assiduous with activity as the cremated bodies throw up smoke and fire and after they come back hotel, has breakfast. After breakfast explore Varanasi. Bharat Mata (temple of Mother India). Mahatma Gandhi features a huge marble map of India on the ground floor inaugurated. After Bharat Mata Temple visits The New Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is modern in design and open to Hindus and non-Hindus alike. Surrounded by palm trees, it is a white marble structure that shines in the afternoon sun against a pale blue sky. Inside, the temple is spacious and airy. Later in the evening enjoy the famous Ganga Arti. GANGA AARTI: A group of priests daily in the evening at this ghat perform "Agni Pooja" (Worship to Fire) wherein a dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganga (the Ganges), Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe. Special Aarti’s are held on Tuesdays and on religious festivals. Later transfer to hotel and rest for the day. Delhi sightseeing connects the Mughal, colonial, and modern layers of India through Old Delhi streets, New Delhi avenues, memorials, mosques, tombs, markets, and government landmarks. The experience is paced to show both heritage and everyday city life, from grand monuments to bazaars, rickshaw lanes, and ceremonial boulevards. Varanasi is explored through its sacred geography: the Ganga riverfront, historic ghats, temple traditions, cremation rituals, devotional music, and the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony. Akbran’s local coordination helps travellers experience the spiritual atmosphere respectfully while understanding the city’s importance to Hindu pilgrimage and Indian civilization.
