The Taj Mahal is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, its white marble facade designed to shift color through the day from soft pink at dawn to gold at sunset. Tip: since transport isn't included, confirm your own arrival plan to the monument in advance — your guide meets you there, not at your hotel. Security screening inside bans food, tripods, and power banks; carry only camera and ID. The monument is closed every Friday, so check this against your visit date before booking.
